One-upping the mighty Tsunami Stout is no easy task. To create a beer with even more stout character, our brewers reimagined the fabled Tsunami Stout and created a new Imperial version. Full of rich roasty flavors reminiscent of dark chocolate and espresso, Father of All Tsunamis takes things one step further by aging in Rye whiskey barrels. With layers of spiciness, vanilla and caramel coming from these barrels, Father of All Tsunamis emerges with a richness and balance beyond any stout ever created at Pelican before now.

Draft at Growler Guys. The pour is nearly black with a persistent ring of creamy brown head. Huge aroma is rich with chocolate and coconut, very sweet and decadent with nice compliment from the barrel treatment. Reminds me a lot of an Almond Joy and the older batches of Full Sail’s BA Black Gold. Big flavors of chocolate, bourbon barrel, vanilla, and roast. More Almond Joy characteristics. This is an amazing beer full of wonderful flavors. Very glad to have had this.

Bottle from uptown. Pours a dark black color with a large brown creamy head. A big sweet nose; roast, chocolate, vanilla, whiskey. The flavor is vanilla, chocolate, ash, whiskey, very smooth. Very big but smooth. Great beer.
