For this ‘classic’ version of the Zenne y Frontera, we blended not less than five different barrels of sherry aged lambik. The barrels are a mix of very old Oloroso and Amontillado barrels from two small family bodegas. Bodega Joséfa Perez is located in the heart of Jerez de la Frontera and Gutiérrez Colosia is located at El Puerto De Santa Maria. We aged more-than-three-year-old lambikken for an additional year on these sherry casks. Consequently, the weighted average age of this blend is over 50 months.

Good stuff, pale wood, some sturdy acidity, dried lemon peel, a little boozy kick. Nicely integrated. Solid complexity. Decent drying finish.
Hapu, puuviljane, tsitrus, oksüdeerunud, šerri. Hea.

75cl bottle @ the source. Head is thin, white, quick gone. Colour is deep gold, light hazy the begin of the bottle and more hazy the end. Aroma is nice light sour fruity, woody, rosemary, sherry, light spicy, bit nutty, dried abricot, caramel touch, candied orange. Taste is full malty base, woody, sherry, orange peels, spicy, sour plums, bready touch, brett, dried hay, rosemary touch, rhubarb, herbal, tobacco, medium carbonation, great one, fully enjoyed as my beer #10 000.
