Deze Imperial Stout, heeft maar liefst 22 maanden gerijpt op Heaven Hill bourbonvaten. Dit is een ware traktatie. Rijke tonen van vanille, eikenhout en donkere chocolade smelten samen met warme bourbon aroma’s. Vol, krachtig en intens complex, een bier om rustig van te genieten. Perfect voor lange avonden en bijzondere momenten. Een pure barrel aged klapper.

330 ml can. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of soft sweet bourbon, chocolate nougat, chocolate fudge, vanilla and slick roasted malts.Flavors of oaky whiskey, dry chocolate, vanilla, and roasted malts. Maybe some peaty/sour notes which creep in to these projects.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before December 2028. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, fairly roasty, slightly boozy and a bit fruity aroma of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, bourbon and some dark fruits. Rather sweet, malty, fairly roasty, gently bitter, quite boozy and a little fruity taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, bourbon, and some dark fruits, followed by a long, fairly roasty-bitter, boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Heavy brew, great base beer, lovely barrel, unfortunately a little too sharp and boozy. Still really good, can't remember that I've once had a bad Heaven Hill BA beer though.
