Yearly, ending in 2017, we brewed Fluxus to celebrate the anniversary of our first beer sold—July, 1995. The name Fluxus is Latin for “continuous change” and in the spirit of change, every year we brew Fluxus with a different recipe.
In 2017, Fluxus was a mixed-fermentation saison-style ale brewed with rhubarb. The combination of Brettanomyces and Saison yeast results in complex fruit aromas reminiscent of apricot, mango, and pineapple. Notes of citrus and biscuit combine to create a slightly sour and slightly sweet flavor that finishes with a hint of dry acidity.

Bottle shared in Jefferson. Pours clear honey-gold, effervescent, with a frothy, white topping. Light sweet flavour with mellow fruity tones, a bit of yeast, dough, tangerine, melon, faint acidity. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly clean to finish, few signs of age. Nice beer overall.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Light Brett aroma with some fruit. Med body. Flavor is lightly Brett sour, a little earthy, a touch of citrus, and something else significant that must be rhubarb. Is rhubarb. Rather refreshing; very approachable. Nice.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Brett and apricot aromas. Crisp with brett, apricot, rhubarb and mango upfront turning to dry pepper and pumpernickel in the lasting finish.

750 ml bottle, labeled as a saison by the brewer. appearance is hazy gold with a foamy white head. Tastes like light dry herb, biscuit malt base. pilsner grains, the rhubarb is very subtle. Light body and low carbonation. Fruit is here but subtle. Not sour at all. A good amount of yeast presence. A yeasty chewy texture.
