A new cross-border collaboration with our friends from Edinburgh, Moonwake. We decided there's nothing better than a DIPA with lashings of NZ hops and an oat-heavy grist for a thick and punchy experience.

440ml can from Cloudwater online store in Manchester. A hazy orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, orange, grapefruit, melon, tropical fruit taste, aroma is something similar. Not sure what to make of this one, tasted like a boozy fanta. It was fine but certainly not one of Cloudwaters best offerings.

Can from Caledonian Craft Beer Merchant. Milky golden body with no head or lacing. No visible carbonation. Aroma of grass and melon rind and lemongrass. Flavour of melon and lime peel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A solid DIPA - tangy and hoppy.

440ml can. Hazy orange, small white head. Aroma of sweet ripe tropical fruits, papaya, guava, melon. Taste is tropical, papaya, guava, mango, melon, peach, citrus zesty, sweet and creamy (honestly, might be some diacetyl), very low bitterness. Medium body and carbonation.
CW keeping the hops a secret again. Pretty lame, though this isn't one of their best DIPAs by a long shot so I guess who cares? Surprised this one's got such good ratings tbh. I mean it's not bad but for CW it's a clear step down from their usual.

Appearance is hazy amber, with a small foamy head. Aroma is orange, melon, grapefruit, strawberry hints, pithy fruit, hop resin. Taste is tangerine, orange, grapefruit, stewed hoppy fruit, hop resin, sweet malt. Nice and full-bodied.

Can. A light haze on this orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head, does not last. Palate starts light and fairly smooth, just a very mild dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Light smooth pale malts, a nice light creamy sweetness. NZ hops, whatever they are, bring cooling pine, good stone fruits, rounded but rich and slightly tangy. Mellow savoury skunk slots in well. Whispers of lime and grape, and a little juicy candy fruits. Light smooth finish brings a mild hop spice. Light and very crushable dipa. You don't need to know what hops are in it though, just enjoy CW product..

Tap at 73 Enid Street. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a fading white head. Aroma is big dank onion, dank, onion, green hop, dish cloth. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, juicy orange, dank, onion, chive, rubber, vanilla, bit muddle.. Palate is semi sweet, tangy, vanilla, cakey, highish carbonation. Spicy dank finish.

Pours murky orange gold with a fast fading fluffy white head. Aroma is gooseberry, pissy hops, oats, bitter hop. Taste is gooseberry, bitter hop, a little dankness, oat cream, yeast notes. Solid DIPA.
