White filmy layer over a golden body. Discreet floral aroma. Flavoured with fruity hops where especially distinctive notes of grapefruits come through. Smooth bitter endnotes. Easy drinking and fairly standard English bitter (third pint, hand-pulled at GBBF 08.08.2008).

[cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] A traditional-tasting bitter, although quite pale for the style. A dusty stable kind of flavour with earthy overtones - made me think of Fullers’ beers. A nice pint this, I could happily sink a few.

Cask-conditioned at the Crosse Keys (JDW), City of London 3/4/08. Golden coloured with a decent white head. Aroma of apricots, sweet malt and floral hops. Plenty of fruit in the flavour with citrus hops and a good, bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Copper, slight haze, decent lasting beige head. Bit of spicy fruity aroma, bit of spicy dry malt in mouth. Quite soft in mouth. Not huge hop on finish, but quite drinkable. Easy drinking slightly spicy bitter.
