IPAs are certainly beers that lean towards bitterness. Many balance that bitterness with a lot of residual sweetness, not something Davin wanted. Instead, he wanted to balance the beer by providing a nice fluffy texture by using malted and flaked wheat which also helps showcase the juicy hop aroma and flavor. Hops add bitterness and flavor and aroma, depending on the variety and when they are added to the brew process. Cascade and Centennial hops give Ananda juicy citrus, mango, melon aromas and flavor.

Sample at Hoof Hearted during the "Everybody Wants Some & Did We Just Become Best Fwendz? - Dual Can Release" event on 07/09/2017. Cloudy pale orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Citrus, hops and malt in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and caramel malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can from Kroger, Cookeville, Tennessee. Golden with a small head. Has a strength, but maintains a very good tropical fruitiness and IPA styling, with pineapple offering up some flavour, and grapefruit a citrus bittering.

Okay IPA, mostly bitter with a weak malt bill offering little to compensate for the pinecone hoppiness. Subtle grain and toast gets overpowered fairly quickly by the hops, but it all seems one-note, not much citrus or herbal pungency to pad the IBUs. Bitter fade. Eh.

Some pine, a little citrus. Pours hazy golden without much head or lacing. Not much here like across the Mississippi from Memphis on the Arkansas side. Tap at Broadway brewery on Nashville.
