IPAs are certainly beers that lean towards bitterness. Many balance that bitterness with a lot of residual sweetness, not something Davin wanted. Instead, he wanted to balance the beer by providing a nice fluffy texture by using malted and flaked wheat which also helps showcase the juicy hop aroma and flavor. Hops add bitterness and flavor and aroma, depending on the variety and when they are added to the brew process. Cascade and Centennial hops give Ananda juicy citrus, mango, melon aromas and flavor.

Some pine, a little citrus. Pours hazy golden without much head or lacing. Not much here like across the Mississippi from Memphis on the Arkansas side. Tap at Broadway brewery on Nashville.

Can at the hotel in NOLA - picked up at Stein’s. Pours clear gold with a frothy-creamy white head. The aroma holds citrusy hops, some pale grains, orange rind. Medium sweet flavour with mellow piney bitterness, more rindy citrus, grainy pale malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with a little pine resin, orange rind, faint grass, lightly toasted grains, hay, pale bread. An OK IPA overall.

Can. Cloudy, murky gold body with lots of floating yeast. Frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, pine, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/slick texture, lively carbonation. Timid bitterness. Taste of bread, citrus, pine, floral hops trip over each other.

12oz can. The aroma isn’t enticing...hints of infection, bitter pine-sol. The flavor is better, bright bland bitterness, lemony hop tones Has a mild earthy caramel backbone that is reminiscent of antiquated APAs of years gone by. Drinkable, OK.

12oz can, thanks to my girlfriend’s current roommate. Thanks Beth! Poured a nice orange hue with a small white head. Aroma was light resin, some earthy tones. Light pine. This is a lot more balanced than I expected, perhaps more like an APA, Tasty though.

Can local beer mart. Clear medium yellow with a white head. Lots of floaties. Fresh tropical fruit & citrus hop aroma. Solid light bitter hop flavor that goes all the way to the finish. Nice one.
