This year we wanted to wrap our barrel aged stout program into the #SELECT event and so in the spirit of the event, we selected the best barrels we have available from our cellar! BUT we also wanted to wrap our obsession with vanilla into the event as well…
We got our vanilla supplier to choose a killer lot of Ugandan vanilla for us. Ugandan vanilla is powerfully unique and throws notes of fig, milk chocolate and some raisin and we’ve been wanting to get a beer made with this lovely vanilla.
#SELECT (BBA Ugandan Vanilla) is a blend of 4 different Willet bourbon barrels aged from 22 to 44 months, for a combined blend age of 28 months, and then further aged on hand selected Ugandan Vanilla at a very generous dosing rate.

A deep dark stout with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light vanilla, very nice and smooth.
