Half pint at Y Bont, Conwy. Very very slight hop nose. Medium carbonation, pale amber beer with small white head. Spritzy mouthfeel, malt taste. Slight vegetal hop finish but the malt comes back right at the end. Not bad. Much better than most industrial lagers.

Advent Calander beer on the 6th December. Pale golden colour, with small white head. a touch malty and sweet.

Very surprised to see the font on the bar inside The Snowdon in Llandudno on 11th June 2014: so much so I had to have a half just to see if it was as bad as it used to be back in the day! It came a bright, clean and clear looking light golden colour with a thin white covering, which to be fair did produce some lacing. Odourless until it warmed a little and then a mild floral aroma appeared. The taste was fairly bland and although maltiness could be detected I thought it very ordinary and like so many other lager/pilsners etc, etc. Glad I had it, but the half was enough.

On tap @ the Royal Oak, Bangor on Dee. I don’t know if this is a compliment or not but I think this is one of the best British lagers I’ve had. There’s a decent amount of citrus on both nose and taste and the palate is balanced.
