We’re proud to unveil another product of our friendship with the team at Austria’s Brauerei Schloss Eggenberg — “Hellerbock,” a strong pale lager (7.4%). Offered on draught and in classic half-liter bottles to-go, this beer is best described by the German term, “süffig”— quaffable and tasty.
Brewed with the @eggenbergerbier team at their brewery in Vorchdorf, Austria, this is the latest in a series of Bockbier collaborations with our friends. Well balanced and deceptively strong, with notes of honeycomb, a light grapefruit impression from the Centennial flavor hops, and a delicate floral character, this beer is a lager lover’s delight.
Want to take some to-go? Bottles are available for sale from our Store & Tasting Room.
Prost!

Cloudy golden yellow with large off-white head. Lemon, biscuit malt, and fresh hay aroma. Moderately sweet tangy lemon-orange, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter/astringent fresh hay/grass flavor. Good body.

Anaranjada, ligeramente turbia.

Pour is a light cloudy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is a neutral grain, creamy malt with sulfur fermentation. Flavor is a honey malt with some minerals and a herbal hop finish. Unique as the flavor is kind of all over the place but this is very rustic and again unlike any other style of beer.

A near clear golden color. Aroma and flavor are identical. Sweet grain, mild bread, and the faintest hop note. Mild lager yeast in the finish. Lighter side of medium body. True to the style which itself is very simple.

Bottle shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Crystal clear gold, thin head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is pale malt, bittering hops, grapefruit, florals. Taste is strong pale malt, floral, mild grapefruit, honey. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Don't love it but have to admire the complexity, strength and balance.

Undated bottle drunk 7/26/25.
Clear bright gold. Small, white head.
Rich herbal hops with floral suggestions and fresh cut grass. Rich, honey-like malt. Super clean stuff, very balanced.
Balanced and malty with rich honey and bread. Herbal hops with peppery bitterness. I feel like Schilling influenced the hoppiness here, and it's great, as the malt, while clean and succulent, is very singular.
