Medium Dry Sparkling Fine Perry
A blend of Herefordshire grown perry pear varieties such as Green Horse, Butt and Hendre Huffcap from young bush trees, conditioned in the bottle in a pet nat style.
Nice pet natty pop on opening. Fresh citrus, pine and lime on the nose and a full and chewy mouthfeel with more lime and sherbet. Wonderful as a celebratory drink on its own whilst having the ability to go along with classic perry combinations of food such as light cheeses, Chicken Fricassee. Abv 4.3%

Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close.
Decent enough perry.

18/11/2025. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Clear pale pour. Aroma is sweet pear, caramel, flowery, my Nanโs sugar vinegar, light hopped edge. Fairly sweet, slightly tart with a drying edge. Interesting.

Bottle from the Perry edition of the Press seasonal box. Few weeks of shelf time then a few more weeks of chill to try & drop sediment.
Half hazy, pale gold, active soda head.
Soap & twang, sweet apple+ cucumber, cider vinegar nose.
Spritzy, soapy, gently tangy & floral pear. Bittersharp leaning sweet. Ginger ale feels. Moderate farm funk that doesn't mesh perfectly with something delicate like this. I want it drier or with less vinegar.
Sulfite headache.
Okay. Couldn't finish it. I drink most of these bottles solo.

750ml bottle. Opened with a pop. Yellowy gold colour, short-lived bubbly white foam head and aroma of perry pear, citric. Taste is tangy, perry pear, juicy, floral fruity, zesty lemony citrus, with some tartness and drying tannin. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tart & tannic peary finish. Nicely drinkable.
