I am not a big fan of smoke beer but this one was a really good experience with smoke malt, bacon, beech tree burnt, well done, 18.09.17, at the Pibar, Lauaanne with Raoul.

Bottle at home in Hackney - received as a gift from in-laws. Pours unclear copper with a small, bubbly white head. Light to medium sweet flavour, lots of rich smoked ham, toasted malts, leafy bitterness, crunchy grains. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, surprisingly sturdy bitterness, lingering smoked ham. Good stuff.

Lichtbruin bier zonder schuim. Smaak is licht zoet en licht bitter met een overduidelijke rooksmaak en iets van thee en abrikoos daartussen. Niet een bier wat een ieder zal aanspreken.

Bottle from Geers. Cloudy amber colour, white foam. Nose of citrus, smoke, peach. Taste is sweet, malty, some notes of tropical fruit, smoke. Strange combination. I don't know if I like it.
