In aanloop naar 21 juli viert Lidl het Belgische vakmanschap met een nieuwe creatie, ontwikkeld in samenwerking met brouwerij De Brabandere, bekend om haar expertise en toewijding aan traditie. Forbel belichaamt de Belgische bierkwaliteit: een tripel met rijke en verfrissende aroma’s, een subtiele kruidige toets en een perfect gebalanceerde moutige zachtheid. Gebrouwen met drie granen (gerst, tarwe en haver) en zorgvuldig geselecteerde ingrediënten, weet Forbel te bekoren met haar verfijnde smaak die doet denken aan enkele bekende Belgische tripels.

Appearance -
Nose - banana, plum jam, candied lemon and orange peel.
Taste - orange and hazy with a big foamy white head.
Palate - more plum and banana, more candied peel and light booze.
Overall - good stuff. Very much like Karmeliet.

330ml bottle from Lidl - clear pale gold body, bulbous white top. All the components of the tripel playbook, heavy clove, banana, coriander, syrupy mouthfeel, just not very balanced and a bit medicinal and all over the place.

Bottle for dirt cheap from Lidl King set, Aberdeen. It pours clear golden - blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, perfumed, icing sugar, sugar mice, pear drops, biscuit, custard creams, sponge cake, some warming spice and hay. The taste is pretty sweet upfront, sugary, candy, pic n mix, candied orange peel, ripe melon, pear drops, slight sharpness, boozy kick, toasty grain and custard cream biscuits with a drying, spicy booze finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Good bang for your buck. Fairly rough around the edges though. Boost.

330ml bottle from Lidl in Harrow. A golden/orange/yellow coloured pour with a huge white head on top. Sweet, yeasty, banana, honey, spice aroma and taste. Very Belgian, a poor mans Tripel Karmeliet. It's alright for £1.49

Gushing to huge & dense yellowish head over lively carbonated, faintly veiled orange beer. White candi sugar onslaught, making it smell boozy, herbal & spicy. Bit perfumey too, pot pourri. Sweetish-perfumey-spicy, and lots of 'hot' esters. The alcohol and the (effectively added) spices - coriander, but not overly dominant - reign and make it, again, rather raw boozy. Alcoholheat (surprisingly much seen the after all, modest ABV), very well-carbonated; bit slick; at least medium bodied. Thirteen to the dozen and unrefined Txs to Stef!

Kolor bursztynowy, zmetniony ale pite blisko zera stopni, piana biała, obfita, średnio trwała. Zapach przyjemny, dość intensywny, belgijskie drożdże, dojrzałe pomarańcze, banany, goździk, Gruszka, estry. W smaku pół pełne, jasne słody, mąka, belgijskie drożdże, dojrzałe pomarańcze, goździk, lekka kolendra i trochę alkoholu. Goryczka umiarkowana do niskiej, alkoholowa, lekko drewniana, krótka. W ustach dość wytrawne, ale nie puste, lekko ściąga i wysusza. Nasycenie bardzo wysokie
