This special version of Kaggen Stormaktsporter, aged on chestnut barrels previously used to age Agitator whisky, was brewed to celebrate Kaggen's 20th anniversary and Akkurat's 30th anniversary.
Brewed in November 2023, 27.3 Plato, 13% abv, aged for thirteen months, of which three months on chestnut barrels. Bottled in January 2025.

(Draft at Akkurat, Stockholm, 16 June 2025) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of liquorice, wood, tar, espresso, cacao and a touch of whisky. Malty, roasted, sweet taste with liquorice, espresso, cacao, treacle, wood, tar, whisky and a generous roasty bitterness in a smooth and warming finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, strong and harmonious. Carries a punch, but really well balanced. Great beer!
