Roast and chile. Cinnamon, chocolate. Some coffee. Black pour without much head. Bittersweet finish, but mostly sweet. Not as big as you'd think a 14% would be. Bottle.

Black with minimal brown head. Vegetal smoked pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, light black pepper, vanilla, coffee, chocolate malt, and dry grass aroma. Mildly sweet cinnamon, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter smoky vegetal and dry grass flavor with a vanilla and coffee aftertaste. Nice body - no discernable heat. Complex - almost too many flavors competing with each other.

Black pour. Thin tan head. Vanilla, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and other spices. Bourbon notes in the palate. Very good!

Espresso, allspice, chocolate nose. Black, headless. Toast espresso, allspice. Subdued bourbon finish. Full body, easy carbonation, warm, slightly prickly.

2025 bottle drunk 10/1/25.
Clear, very dark. Sizeable tan head slowly to cover.
Everything smells quite nice here except for a weird powdery, mousey, unpleasant note in the very end.
Same in flavor. This is pretty nicely attenuated and the adjuncts are tasteful...except...what's that weird flavor and texture I'm getting. Oh, of course, it's fucking lactose. Man, fuck lactose. Great stout that they've almost ruined with lactose. Absolutely mind-bogglingly stupid to add lactose to a 14.1% BA stout. Are you worried there's not enough softness/texture??? Hint: make a better stout. Good stouts don't use lactose.

Draft pour at Dominion Wine and Beer. Poured a pitch black color, a bit like motor oil. Small, wispy tan head. Aroma was huge cinnamon, vanilla. This one had some heat on it, but still really smooth. Probably doesn't need to be 14%.
Lot of cinnamon and heat, vanilla/chocolate finish. Don’t get any barrel.

Multiple 2025 vintage bottles from Livonia Liquor. Pours a pitch black with a finger of tan head that dissipates. Aromas of chili pepper, mole, cinnamon, dark chocolate and bourbon as it warms. The palate is similar with more cinnamon, chili, oak and bourbon present. Lingering chili heat and cinnamon on the finish. Not overly boozy.
