Whale’s Jaw is an American white ale. It’s brewed in the Belgian tradition of white ales finished with coriander and orange peel. It is brewed with a high percentage of North American wheat to impart a slight tanginess but with an American ale yeast to ensure a crispness to the finish and with a bright citrus aroma. This is a classic pairing with mussels, as well as lighter salads, seafood dishes and sushi.

Taster at the brewpub. Hazy wheat ale in the glass. Mild nose with some spice from wheat malt, a note of coriander. Taste is nicely mild with noticeable hops adding to the wheat malt.

Pours a hazy yellow from a tap. Nice light citrus and coriander aroma and flavor. Good beer.
