Many thanks to Tommy for this one. From a bottle, shared with Finn. Deep dark brown body, shattered lacing, naked surface. Promising aromas of dark caramel and a note of dark fruits. Solid taste character with oak, caramel, dark berry-fruits, and toffee. Long tail with a bourbon touch. Smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Excellent. (Tromsø, 21.07.2026).

a: rich brown coloured body with nice ruby glowing tint | moderate tan head
a: bourbon (duh!) | pitted fruits | woodsie
f: stone fruits | crisp toasted grains | caramelised sugars
t: toffee finish | rustic notes | drying & warm
o: complex sugars | smooth-ish malts [for style] | enjoyable - especially on draught [and fresh, which I usually don't prefer]
six ounce pour on draught | Mekong [restaurant]: Richmond, Virginia | 12-October-2025 | US$8,00 | sampled: while eating great Vietnamese food with my family of five on 12-October-2025

A deep dark brown barleywine with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of vinous character, dark fruits, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with Pinot de Charente, vanilla, alcohol warmth, plums, very nice and rich. On tap at ChurchKey.
