Cask at Woodin’s Shades, Nicholson’s, London. Pours clear, bright gold with a small, foamy white head. Dirty straw in the nose, some dry, crunchy white bread. Light sweet flavor with mellow straw bitterness, hints of dirt and grass, light lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Faint resinous grass, straww and citrus fruit rind to finish, some dirt, light plastic, faint lemon tanginess. Simple little beer.

Aroma: Grain, red apple and shortbread notes.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a medium off-white head that slowly fades. Light carbonation and lacing.

Taste: Pear, citrus and caramel. Grainy and earthy/grassy flavours. Light bitterness.

Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation.

Overall: Simple, subtle flavours, Personally, it tastes a little too grainy for my liking, but this is a perfectly sessionable golden ale.

On tap @ Teuchters. Pours a hazy golden with a decent head. The nose has grapefruit, lemon and a pungent thing going on. The taste has a little more of this ’sweatiness’ but the grapefruit is the most dominant note. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a fairly clean finish. Overall, a solid pale ale.
