Amber Berliner Weisse. Orbital Drift shakes up the long established tradition of brewing a Berliner Weisse, (“Berlin White”), beer to be light in color. By substituting the style’s characteristic pale barley and wheat malts with darker, more full-bodied and longer kilned malts, we created a unique brew that has a deep amber hue and earthy aromatic notes. Allowed to age for sixteen months in Cypress wood tanks, Orbital Drift has a complex character, deep acidity and dry malt spiciness.

Bottle/Fest. A- Tart, lemon, mild bread dough. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Acidic, tart, mild lemon, straw. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Okay. Expected some more complex flavors but it was really rather simple.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2015. Pours a cloudy orange juice like color with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has tart citrus and earthy wheat with a touch of acid. Flavor combines tart citrus and earthy wheat with a touch of acid.

GTMW 2015. Cloudy orange color, dark for a Berliner. Very well carbonated, large head. Sort of a strange aroma with yeast, a little yeast, not particularly sour yet but it might get that way. It lacks the sour bite of a Berliner, so I wonder if it is not was ready. More of a dry wheat beer.
