Very similar to a Flanders oud bruin, this sour mash beer is rich slightly smoky and sour. There is a unique woody flavor from the four month bourbon barrel conditioning it underwent. The nose is very light caramel and vanilla. The color is ruby brown to amber. It is brewed similarly to Urbains Own Ypres beer, with a Kentucky spin on it.

Bottle pour at Camp Tasting Finale. Clear, dark brown, maple syrup quality. Aroma is burnt wood, mild tart fruit. Taste is burnt wood/earthiness, mild tart fruit. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. If I were out in the wilderness alone, I would drink burnt sticks, otherwise, hell no!

750 ml bottle, Thanks to Brain on the share. Aroma is smoky and old malt. Shows a solid amount of scotch with peated malt. Definitely not a flavor profile I look for. Just not my preference.

Clear dark amber. Dark beige head.
Islay Scotch is the biggest thing I get. Fruity and toasty behind it. Soft funk.
Well that's over attenuated. Scotch, fruit, cherry skin and iodine. I like the flavor but the body is washed out. It is super old so you can't hold it against it. It's lovely.
