Jennings Cumberland Ale! A classic!

The iconic beer of the North West - Cumberland Ale has been brewed by Jennings for over 100 years, using the famous Jennings Well water, Maris Otter malt with just a dash of Pale Chocolate malt to create the deep Golden Colour, and a classic blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Challenger, which give a beautiful fruitiness, hints of subtle spice and the well rounded bitterness you'd expect from a timeless English Pale Ale.

500ml bottle from Craft Ale Keswick - Clear amber body with big white head. Aroma is grainy, malty, sweet with hints of floral hops. Sweet malty flavour with grains and hops. A lot more body to it than I remember from the Marston's version.

Foamy white head left a spotty top on a clear golden coloured body.
Pine, malt & biscuit aroma.
Medium bodied, sharp with a clean back - similar to a Yorkshire Bitter.
Resinous, cereal & malt tastes with a hoppy bite on the finish.
Quaffer.
