Kimmy, one of the most loyal and longest serving member of De Kromme Haring family, has caught a keeper!

Kimmy & Freek got married and of course we had to brew a special wedding beer.

In celebration of this wonderful match and with a nod to Kimmy’s love of grapefruit, we brewed a bold and expressive saison, packed with locally-grown rye and spiked with a festive amount of grapefruit.

Join us in raising a glass to Kimmy and Freek, may they have a long loving life together filled with (vegan) food, music, tattoos, games, books, and of course delicious beers!

(Draught at De Kromme Haring, Utrecht, 14 Aug 2025) Hazy golden colour with brief head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and floral aromas. Fruity taste with citrus, grapefruit, lemon peel, white bread and a gentle citric/floral bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Refreshing. Quite nice.

Dorada nebulosa de espuma normal. Intenso aroma cítrico, notas funky y de pino. Punzante de gas, muy seca y de amargor pronunciado. Sabor que combina notas ácidas, asidradas, con pomelo. Final de amargor cítrico intenso.

Can. Color: Lightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Grapefruit. Taste: Grapefruit, spicy Saison yeast, hints of lemon. A lot of grapefruit. Medium body, average carbonation. Moderate sweet and moderate going towards medium (grapefruit) bitterness. Not surprisingly: Long lasting grapefruit finish. One for grapefruit lovers...
