Visionary Voice Colonial Ale. A collaboration with Explore New Bedford to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution! Based on an old Benjamin Franklin recipe, this ruby-colored, full-flavored, medium-bodied ale has corn and molasses in addition to the malted barley. It is malty since hops weren't very prevalent in the new world back then

Taster at the brewpub. Dark brown color, deeper than your usual brown ale. The third taster in my flight, but it still has a thin tan head hanging around. Nose is somewhat subdued, but definitely shows molasses. Taste is thicker and more whiskey-y than its abv suggests, thanks, perhaps to the corn. Great molasses center.
