Our brewer Scott working this time with the amazing guys at Big Trip in Manchester. IPA brewed with hops from either side of the pacific coast but mainly with lashings of Motwueka for a nice juicy yet balanced IPA.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear amber with a lasting bubbly white head. The aroma is sappy, oily, tangy, plenty of citrus, clementine, orange marmalade, kumquat, orange blossom and dull caramel. The taste is firmly dry, punchy bitterness, touch green, pithy, zesty, bitter citrus peel, kumquat, grapefruit, orange marmalade, waxy rind, spicy, pine and resin with a lingering bitter citrus peel finish. Medium body and moerate, prickly carbonation. Quite an old school malty IPA with very nice punchy bitterness. Rather nice.

The Weka isn't a bird that will ever make big trips given it's flightless. Slightly deeper golden coloured with a steady hoppy pale ale aroma and taste at sessionable levels. A little bit of golden style in here too.
