Bottle from Struise Shop, Bruges. Pours hazy black with a quickly dissipating, dark beige head. Intense aroma of milk chocolate, custard, mocha, toast, caramel, biscuit, liqueur, nuts. Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, candied fig & date covered in chocolate with a creamy, vanilla-like edge, undercurrent of nuts, bitter toast & powdery coffee, slightest umami accent. Dry, toasty, earthy, peppery hoppy finish, more coffee roast & dark chocolate, warming but subtle coffee & cream-liqueur alcohol in the very end. Full body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Very nice, balanced, ideal in wintertime.

33cl bottle at The Shamrock Inn, Copenhagen. Pours pitch black with a tiny, beige head. Roasty aroma with dark chocolate, vanilla a hints of coffee and dark fruits. Medium sweet with nice chocolate flavour with vanilla notes and a lightly bitter finish. Easy to enjoy, desserty and quite balanced.

33cl bottle from Rimi, Tallinn. Pours close to black with a modest, beige head. Malty aroma with notes of cocoa, vanilla, roasted malt and dark fruits with hints of wood and spices. Fairly sweet, but well balanced and quite desserty with medium to high flavour intensity and complexity. Feels a little bit raw, so I certainly would like to try it after some more aging, but it’s quite delicious at the moment too. Nice and desserty winter warmer. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Deep Space Xmas Party on 02 Dec 2019 at 17:02 - Score: 8
