On tap at Craft Conundrum, pours a clear golden with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a herbal hop chcaracter, with roasted chestnuts, and earthy notes. Flavour is likewise on these notes, with herbal hops, roasted chestnuts and earthy notes. Bready and herbal. Not good.

Bomber from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours gold with a slight, transient white head. Aroma of barley wine with cooked pale stone fruits. Med ++ body. Flavor is earthy, pale stone fruits. Not entirely dry, but very hoppy and pretty dang bitter. Even a little astringent. A bit off the regular DIPA path, but very nice and good to drink. Likin’ it.

Draft. Cloudy deep golden color, medium white head. Huge grapefruit aroma. Taste is bitter grapefruit.

Tap. Pours hazy golden, small off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is super light, melon and pine. Flavor is medium sweet and pretty bitter, citrus zest. Medium body, soft mouthfeel.

Bomber from Appalachian Vintner, Asheville. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium sized off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of intense pine, resin, sticky, salty hops. I suppose there are some toffee malts in there somewhere. The taste is herbal, resin, piney, woody hops, high heat, pale malts. Medium bodied with fairly strong heat. The IBUs on this one must be off the charts. My tongue is burning in that good way.
