Our collaboration Imperial Pastry Stout with NanoDog. A banoffee pie inspired pastry stout with loads of caramel and biscuit flavours carried through from the layers of crystal and speciality malts in the grist. The base beer was then mixed with banana puree and conditioned on freshly roasted cacao nibs for a liquid dessert taste sensation!

Keg at Brewdog Waterloo, 21/09/22. Black with a decent tan covering that veers to a swirl. Nose is nana chews, chocolate, mellow roast molasses, melted brown sugars, toffee fudge. Tsste comprises light spice, banoffee pie, chocolate, dark malts, vanilla, molasses. Full bodoed, oily feel, balanced warming boost offered at the curtain call. Competent pastry work .... decent enough bitter sweet balance.

Crowler from DogTap. It pours jet black with a lasting, deep tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, light umami, coffee grounds, toffee, big hit of tangy banana, banana split, biscuit and bannoffe pie. The taste is slick and thick, oily and chewy, big hit of banana, ripe and tangy, chocolate ice cream, biscuit, banana split, bannoffe pie, wee chocolate bananas (a Scottish delicacy), rich roasted malt base, mocha coffee, chock chip cookies and some alcohol to try to keep the sweetness in check. Full bodied, fine+ carbonation and slick, oily mouth - feel. Perverse and decadent. A dessert beer for sure.
