At a tasting, thanks, very little head that dissapears almost instantly, cloudy charcoal brown color, aroma of vanila, coconut and wax, lemony salty flavor with hint of waffle and vanila, light to medium mellow sourness. Quite drinkable but not very gose like.

500ml shared by Chalumeaux, thanks! Color is almost black, thin lasting head. Aroma is HUGE lemon zest, mild sour roast, and maybe red wine tannic notes. The flavor has a huge tannic hint with a odd malt bill. Comes off earthy and tannic. The lemon is covered by the barrel. For a barrel red wine barrel aged beer, I guess it is fine. It is not a gose or something I would reach for personally.

Bottle at Salud shared with Andrew and Gavin, thank you gentlemen! Black color, thin tan head. Aroma of fruity light coffee. Taste is lightly earthy dark roast with berries. Strange but interesting and pretty tasty.

Draught @ The Gibson. Murky brown with very small frothy beige head that disappeared immediately, floral aroma, high carbonation, salty taste with caramel malt, thin body, long salty medium bitter finish. Interesting, quite smooth.

Re-rate 5/17: Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles place. Thanks Alon. Brown. Red wine, wood, vinegar, fruitiness, lemon, a bit of caramel, sourish, slightly sweetish, a bit of salt, a bit of spiciness. A lot better than last time. 6/3/7/3/13=3.2

[1/31/17] Draught at Lulu’s in Allston. Dark brown to black. Bad aroma of acetone, wine, spiciness, a bit of vinegar. Acidic flavor with acetone, wine, spiciness, fruitiness. Weird. Not good. 3/3/5/3/9=2.3

At the source: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is barrels, sour gose smell, ambiguously so, and roasty malts. Taste has a nice combo of roast and salty and sour gose. Nice.
