We have been foraging through the hedgerows to pick the best wild blackberries you can find to add to our special stout recipe. On first pour, your senses will be hit with an aroma blast of bramble which then fades as the flavours mingle and blend to make a perfect fruit stout, smooth and unique.

Can from Beers of Europe. Pours black with moderate sized beige head. Roasted malt and blackberry aroma, quite dusty, touch of coffee and liquorice. Taste is the same but a touch watered down. Roasty, tangy, sweet, semi-dry. Its ok.

Can from Sir Toby's Beer, shared with Finn on a train from Norwich to Ely. Fawn-coloured head, jet black body, upper part lacing. Dark doughy nose with berry skins. Fine balanced taste character of black berries and chocolate malts. Smoothly roasted malt-berry end. Pretty good. (Norwich 11.11.2021).

Bottle from the Giddy Goat, Sheringham. Dark brown with a very thin beige head. Maybe a bit too fizzy for the style. Chocolate up front, then light blackberry, before a dry and smoky finish with blackberry leaves in the aftertaste. It's not bad, but I did feel the the blackberries were held back somewhat by the dryness and may have worked better in a sweeter body.
