Can from Beers of Europe. Pours black with moderate sized beige head. Roasted malt and blackberry aroma, quite dusty, touch of coffee and liquorice. Taste is the same but a touch watered down. Roasty, tangy, sweet, semi-dry. Its ok.

440ml can from Beers of Europe. Gluten Free. Black-brown colour with reddish tinge, beige foam head leaving lacing and aroma of roasted malt, smokey, blackberry, chocolate & coffee. Taste is roasty malt, coffee, chocolate, blackberry with earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, roast bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Can from Sir Toby's Beer, shared with Finn on a train from Norwich to Ely. Fawn-coloured head, jet black body, upper part lacing. Dark doughy nose with berry skins. Fine balanced taste character of black berries and chocolate malts. Smoothly roasted malt-berry end. Pretty good. (Norwich 11.11.2021).

Delt med Rune på tog mellom Norwich og Ely. Svart. Lavt luftig mokkafarget skum. Sjokoladearoma. Smaken balansert. Litt sjokolade. Litt lakris. Litt bær. Behagelig. Kakao i avslutninga.

Bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Gusher. Pours dark brown with a lively, indeed problematic beige head. Aromas are earthy, blackcurrant and liquorice. Taste is dry, blackberry, faint chocolate. Dry finish.

Bottle from the Giddy Goat, Sheringham. Dark brown with a very thin beige head. Maybe a bit too fizzy for the style. Chocolate up front, then light blackberry, before a dry and smoky finish with blackberry leaves in the aftertaste. It's not bad, but I did feel the the blackberries were held back somewhat by the dryness and may have worked better in a sweeter body.
