500ml bottle purchased from the brewery and drunk at home. Very dark brown, with a tiny ring of off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, some caramel and liquorice root. Tastes quite sweet, with more liquorice coming through. More toasty malt notes in the finish along with a slight bitterness. The body is disappointingly flat. Good all in all.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thanks a lot!]. Clear, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and huge, thick, fluffy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Initially rather grainy, roasty dark malty aroma, fragmentary hints of dark bread, tobacco, coffee, dark chocolate, earthy hoppy overtones with a grassy touch of weed, moss, tea, fruity whiffs of red berries, some nutty aspects, Brazil nut, chestnut. Taste is roasty dark malty, minimally diluted notes of coffee, dark chocolate, dark caramel with subtle sweetness, a nutty touch of Brazil nut, chestnut, earthy, leafy hoppy hints of tobacco, tea, a fruity touch of red berries. Watery texture, dry palate, medium to coarse, prickly carbonation. Quite watery, minimally overcarbonated (probably my fault - should have drank it as fresh as possible, immediately after receipt), nevertheless rather beefy, a good deal of (slightly diluted) malt flavours - pretty decent.
