Sample at the Portland tasting room. Hazy straw color with a medium thin white head that burns away steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of yeast, mild hops and malt. Light body with flavors of fruity yeast, floral hops and bready malt. The finish is herbal and floral with a mildly hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.

Hay and a little lemon. Easy drinking and milk like you went light on wings night. Golden pour with decent head. Clean finish. Tap at Partisan.

From tap. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is floral, peachy. Smooth fruity, crisp hoppy. Lingering peachy and slight citrusy fruity into the far finish.

Draught at Novare Res, 5/17/15
Pale golden blonde saison, with just a touch of chill haze, topped with a large amount of well-retained white head.
Fruity and, thankfully, not citric/piney but much more of a nectarines, limes, pineapples, papayas type thing going on. Reminds me of Dupont right away. Not assuming they originated with Dupont yeast (though they may have), but just smells like a saison should. Lightly tart acids, peppery phenols and dry, hay-like malts with a touch of honey break through the hops. Very sniffable, with neither much sweetness nor any resin or heavy acidity. Certainly no alcohol or flaws.
Tight carbonation spreads light honey and biscuit malt notes about whlie lightly tart yeast acids and peppery phenols quickly give way to a very juicy, fruity hop finish. As American-hopped saisons go, it’s up there. No this is not a Belgian IPA, thank god and despite the good dose of hoppiness, including moderate bitterness, it remains easily identifiable as a saison. Wonderfully well-attenuated but without going to the point of astringency/huskiness. Lovely. Instantly want to try all of their beers.
