I feel like I would have liked this a lot more several years ago when it was a novelty, but now that the market is flooded with this kind of pastry stout, it isn't quite as wonderful. It tastes a little candyish. Coconut, chocolate, some spice. It's still well blended, better than most--better than 3 Sons, if we're talking about Florida stouts, for example, but perhaps not as well balanced as Funky Buddha. Finishes bittersweet and tangy. Oily black pour without much head. Snally.

Draft pour at Snallygaster 2025. Poured a nearly pitch black color, dark cola. Aroma was chocolate, woody barrel, some light mole spicy notes. Flavor was moderate spice, but it kind of is subdued. Coconut dominates. Cocoa, chocolate. Chili.
Sweet, spicy and roasty with some chili, chocolate, cocoa, hints of barrel, coconut and mole. Quite heavy and spicy, but sweet and tasty.
