We were thrilled to have Brian from Northern Monk join us to brew a modern West Coast-style IPA.
A lean malt bill of Pilsner, Golden Promise and a touch of Wheat provides a blank canvas for the hops to take center stage. We pushed the boundaries with our biggest ever hot side hop addition and followed it up with a heavy dry hop at cast out.
We’re tasting white wine, pithy orange, pine and juicy pineapple chunks.

440ml can. Clear yellow gold, white head. Aroma of lime and grapefruit, herbal dankness, white wine. Taste is vinous, dank, white wine, grape, grapefruit, lime, assertive but not overly strong resinous bitterness. Medium bodied. Very nice NZ hopped WC IPA.

On tap at Cabron Folkestone Folkestone Tap Takeover. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. West Coast led but with some different hops. So some tropical fruit along with the pink grapefruit and bitterness. Needs some caramel toffee malt flavour though. Bit thin on the malts.
