The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and Sumatra and Kona coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever.

Sample at Kurtkeller 007: Founders-tastic 01 on 03/06/2014. Black pour with some mahogany around the edges, and a medium thick tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Small patches of lace. Roasted coffee, malt and chocolate in the nose. Medium to full body with a roasty coffee and malt character, with some bittersweet chocolate in the background. The finish is slightly smoky malt and black coffee. Good beer all around.
