330ml draught at Cafe Sånn. Kindly shared by Finn. Clear golden body under a large white head leaving upper part lacing on the glass. Herbal hops and grain on the nose, quite inviting. Slightly honeyed sweet malt-hoppy flavours, bread-like and a note of pineapple. Rounded malt-fruity ending, mid-dry. Pretty decent. (Tromsø, 19.12.2025).

440 ml can, as Whiplash Into the Abyss Decoction Festbier, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 5.8%. Brewed with Vienna malt and Munich malt, hops are Perle, Saaz and WLP833. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Distinct aroma of malts and caramel, hints of herbal hops and honey. The flavour has the same elements, but is not too sweet. Medium bitter finish.
