Pint can thanks to hershiser2! 1/13/21. Hazy orange, medium foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of melon, mango, mild resin. Taste is melon, papaya, mango, tangerine, pale malt. Medium bodied, low bitterness.

Super hazy and deep copper/bronze coloured body with a very thick, four to five centimetre tall tan head that's microfoamed and stays afloat nicely - very nice and hazy throughout. Aroma of very strong and deep malty and almost chocolatey vibe with cereal and oatmeal, with some earthy and floral hops, with a dash of fruits, alcohol and lactose - very odd and complex in the nose and not smelling like an IPA at all. Full-bodied; Very chunky and robust malt notes with a lot of punch, pungency and astringency, with a very large richness from melons, mangoes and papaya, that all add a lot of depth, but too much bitterness and funky qualities. Aftertaste is very strong as well, with a deep balanced malt and hop note, some fruitiness, but a lot of pungency, grain and earthy notes with some oatmeal as well, and a lot less fruits than I was expecting. Overall, a very poor beer, but full-flavoured and very strong in the body, but the flavours don't seem to all work together. I don't like Azacca hops, but that does NOT seem to be the issue here - it's the malts and richness. Nice to try, but not worth anyone else trying this! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 08-October-2020 for US$2,75 sampled on the same day, 08-October-2020 at my house here in Washington.

Tap in Charlottesville- decent IPA - bitter and robust IPA, west coast style.

Draft at H-Burg as Azacca Whirlpool, 8.2% abv, so I’m guessing this is the same beer. Hazy golden color, thick white head. Aroma of earthy citrus. Taste is lightly bitter almost dank grapefruit. Nice.
