Sampled from tap at Van Moll Fest 2018. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa and some nuts. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of milk chocolate, hazelnut, some vanilla and a touch of coffee, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter finish. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Bottle picked up from Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham. consumed at Fire in the Mountain Festival, nr Aberystwyth, Wales, Thursday 31st May 2018 Difficult to be exacting on colour owing to green plastic glass that is festooned with a Northern Rock Patrons Project label, however it's probably black with a cappuccino coloured head. Some creaminess with a lovely softness, a nice roasty bitter twang. Strong but it's a very easy drinker for a big beer. Frontaal rarely disappoint and this keeps up that positive tradition. Geproefd met Roelzie1986 bij brouwerij het Veem. Het is een donker bruin bier met een dunne schuimkraag. Het heeft een gebrande moutige smaak met hints van drop.
