Skovlyst Oktoberfest is an amber-golden festival lager brewed at the family-owned Van Pur brewery. The beer is brewed according to German regulations, which focus on the simple and pure selection of raw materials in the brewing process. In this way, an equally pure and refreshing taste is achieved in the beer.
Skovlyst Oktoberfest beer is special, among other things, because we use Munich malt. This light golden malt type originates, as the name suggests, from Munich and has been used throughout history to brew the bottom-fermented and amber-golden beer type known as “Bavarian lager”.

Botte50 cl. Pours a clear amber with a small, off-white head. Malty nose, biscuity and caramelly with that macro smell of hop extracts. Medium body, clean, smooth, caramelly sweetness with just enough balancing hops. Clean and well made, but made with just as much love as you find in a smile from JD Vance. 231125

Bottle at home. Aroma is straw, sweetish pale malt, mild butterscotch, slight nuttiness, old apples, bit sugary, some perfumed notes from the hops I guess. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and lightly bitter. Body is medium. Strange beer, hardly a typical Oktoberest, flavours are not very attractive or palatable.

0,5 l bottle from Meny, Blåvand. Clear dark golden in the glass, foamy one finger white head. Smell malty, little bit fruity. Taste is low malty, some fruity background, metallic, thin. Not really good.

Ut over det nokså forglemmelig.
