Towering, dense, lightly yellowish head fed by lively carbonated, hazy orange beer. Smoked nose, Rauchmalz, smoked meat or even -herring, rookzout, but also wheat, citrus and a hint at acetic acid and clove. Sourish, citrussy flavour, oranges and the smoke/phenols. Some tannine too, it would seem. Mix of Lapsan Souchong and orangeflavoured tea. Orangepeel, kafir lime, tad sulphury. Well-carbonated, very wheatslick, certainly medium bodied; Not half bad, usually I don’t like smoke mixed with wheat.

Flesje gedeeld tijdens proeverijtje. Goudgeel helder bier met weinig schuim. Aroma van mout en rook. Smaak is fruitig en rokerig. Weinig nasmaak.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus, Inoven and TomHendriksen. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Aroma is wheat, slightly a hint of smoke, a bit herbal. Taste wheat, lightly sweet, lightly smoky. Blends together quite well. I like it.

Bottle @ benzai. Clear golden with a small white head. Smells wheat, spices, sweet, slightly smokey. Tastes smokey, wheat, cigarettes. Thin to medium body, too much carbo.

Draft at Nederlands Bieren Festival, (Winter) Delft. Near clear golden with a white head. Aroma of herbs, malt, caramel and yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl Bottle from Benzai, thanks René. Hazy golden amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of wheat, light smoke, spicy yeast. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, wheat, light sourness, light salty smoke, spicy yeast, bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Nice.
