I apologize that at this point it can be really confusing keeping track of the varying vintages and versions of this beer. The general pattern here has been to do single-vintage Seekers with peaches and double-vintage Seekers with apricots, so we flipped it and did a triple-vintage with nectarines (ie: peaches).

Also, I realized belatedly that the normal "made with stone fruit and grape pomace" text on the label is inaccurate on this one as the 2022 Riesling in this was press running grape juice blended with beer and aged over two vintages.

This is the last use of the amazing 2022 Riesling we had. These are the final barrels, blended with pomace beer from 2023 made from a German varietal called Kerner which is from Johan, we trucked it up here after the 2023 harvest and it aged on beer for quite some time. All of this saison was then refermented on 2024 harvest organic Red Gold nectarines from RAMA.

Blending two grape varietals on this was a good move, I think the Kerner brought a lot of texture and some light almost Tie Guan Yin tea character. But the big notes here are really the peach character of the Red Gold nectarines, they are pretty forward and the grapes are big lime/orange, tea, and a light Brett spice on the back. Truth be told my tasting notes on this are going to be off because every time we open a bottle of this it gets crushed so fast I don't even really figure out what it's deal is. Spend 3 years making it and 5 minutes drinking it. That said, all of these usually taste better after being opened for a few minutes... if you can give it even 5-10 minutes after opening to drink it then it's worth it.

For more on Kerner, winefolly.com is always a good resource and they say "Another child of Riesling, this time crossed with Schiava (aka Trollinger, a red) and it produces a lean, minerally and savory white wine with subtle notes of apricot skins and almond."

Bottling date: 11/14/2024
Conditioned with: Organic sugar.
Cellar: It's a peach beer, so best by summer 2026.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with intense peaches (or nectarines?) with plenty of bugs, maybe a tiny hint of the white grapes. Flavour really marries the stone fruits and Riesling wonderfully—lots of juicy peaches, subtle white wine grape, plenty of complex bugs, and oak in beautiful cohesion. Complex and juicy as hell. This is awesome.

Opaque. No head even though it frothed up a bit upon opening. Bright apricot and riesling, honeyish and bright. It's even got a touch of toastiness on the nose. The white wine character is more prominent on the palate, and there's a blast of nectarine coming through the finish. Again, an bit of dry toastiness to it. Full body malt, and maybe a touch of bugginess, but not much, certainly less than is usually apparent in Floodland beers. These flavours go well together. This is a great blend.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Cloudy blonde with small white head. Peach, light nectarine, underlying vinous Riesling character, feint creamy tea character on the taste. Well balanced, very nice.

750mL bottle. Pours murky yellow with a white head. Nose is super musty with lots of barnyard funk and nectarines. Flavour is super funky with lots of musty nectarines, barnyard funk, grape skin must, some spicy saison yeast as well. Great, complex farmhouse beer.

750ml (thx, Josh for the logistics!) @ 🏡 celebrating a job offer signing 🥳 Sitted for about 10 mins after opening, as recommended.
Aroma: it's really amazing! Lambic-ish funk, noticeable stone fruits and grapes! Elegant and balanced, whoa!
Taste: a lot of stone fruits, some grapes, farmhouse notes. Low to moderately bitter with the same amount of carbonation.
Overall: nice one 👍
