An iconic bittersharp apple variety which originated from Wedmore, Somerset in the early 1900s. Stoke Red, more than any other apples, seems to vary its flavour with the vintage and offer a true reflection of the season. In 2023 we had a year of low tannin, high acidity and the result is delicious. This cider bursts onto the palate with pizzaz, all ripe red fruit, sharp and tangy. All of our apples come from one hulking tree in our Old Orchard, so this is a single barrel bottling of just 280 bottles. Ideal with soft cheeses or lamb dishes. 750ml. 6%

750ml bottle from Ross on Wye. Golden colour, thin white rim and aroma of apple, fruit, funk. Taste is appley, juicy red fruity, tangy, with alittle tartness, funk hints and drying tannin. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
