Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, toffee, yeast, dried dark fruits, raisins, spicy notes, candy, touch of nuts and ripe pear, with some alcohol. Flavour is rather sweet. Body is a little above medium. Fine example of a Quad, well done Pontus.

Thank you for sharing Klaas! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG17. Dark red cough syrup, amber, little bubbles only. This bottle is a bit too young, carbonation is close to being absent. Taste is very herbal medicinal cough syrup, plant. Taste is herbal cough syrup, DE yeast, so cloying herbal medicinal, sugar. Lack of carbonation is not an issue here but that medicinal herbal Belgian Ale sweetness that is has going is far too much & not my thing, maybe a bit more time will lessen that. A good beer for some but not really my thing.
