Dark, dark brown with a creamy, beige crown. Milk chocolate aroma laced with chili and cloves. A touch of artificial cherry lends a Dr Pepper note to it. Taste is mildly sweet, with some mild sourness at the end and a lingering (mild) chili finish. Interesting but surprisingly bland given all that’s packed in here. Body stays to the light side of medium, texture slightly watery. Quite drinkable but not worth repeating.

Unexpectedly cola-ish for a porter, with cherry and caramel as prominent as the chocolate and spice. Appreciate how dry it stays, but the thin feel and outsized fruitiness aren’t great. Eh tu?

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with orange highlights and a large foamy brown head that left great lacing. The aroma was hot pepper, malt and a bit of cocoa. The flavor was spice, hot pepper, toasty malt and a bit of astringency. Long finish. Medium body.

Can sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks troubles. Brown. Caramel, cinnamon, clove, a bit of chocolate, sweetish, medium-bodied. Kinda weak.

Sample in a flight at Ale Yeah Decatur. Dark brown, with a medium, tan head. Aroma is light chilies, chocolate pudding, cloves, and caramel. Very sweet and malty, with a light roasted bitterness and just a touch of spice. Medium body, smooth, and creamy. Overall, this is a nice, flavorful, balanced, beer. Great, mellow spice, and excellent palette.
