In the realm of Belgian beers, or those inspired by them, conditioning and carbonation are crucial. Traditionally bottled in thick glass to achieve high effervescence, we aimed to replicate this in a convenient, single-serving can. Brewed with a blend of pilsner malt and wheat, lightly hopped with noble hops, and fermented bone dry in stainless steel using a classic Belgian yeast, Athame is 100% naturally carbonated, featuring one of our favorite Brett strains added just before canning. We’re thrilled with how this turned out. This is an absolute summer crusher when you’re reaching for a beer that is different from something hoppy or your standard lager.

Aromas are yeast / Brett, malt, citrus, herbs and dry grain. Flavors are similar to nose. Mildly tart up front with a little fruity sweet in back. A bit thin with good carbonation. Cool label!

16 oz. can, pours a hazy blonde with a tiny white head. Nose expectedly light, with subtle rustic farmhouse notes and toasted grains. Flavour is pretty faint, with gentle tartness, gentle bugginess, and toasted grains. Under-carbed, which doesn’t help this kind of beer. It’s alright but pretty underwhelming for HM.

16oz @ SF shared with Josh and Phill.
Aroma: rustic, some hay, grainy, farty.
Taste: along the same lines.
Overall: meh, there is something wrong with this one...

Pale, some haze, medium head. There's some brett and a bit of pedio. The body is light, with some more brett, a bit of pear note, a bit of tartness, something a bit odd, on the ferm. Pedio is definitely stronger on the palate. It's not bad, but something not quite right.

Undated can drunk 10/7/25.
Highly carbonated, lightly hazy, white gold, with a massive, dense, well-retained, white head.
Stone fruit and tropical fruit rind, with a hint of band aid from the Brett is front and center, but the Sacch. makes itself known quickly, adding big pear and black pepper. Crusty, rustic grains add a pinch of honey and biscuity crustiness.
Lemony sugar cookies, though not quite that sweet, with fruity Brett and a bit of oiliness on the end. Tingly, tart acids balance crusty, chewy, rustic grains. The acid is a bit poignant/forceful; just a bit. I wish things were a little more rounded and soft like the nose. But, it's a whole hell of a lot of flavor and complexity for 3.5%, so I'm not complaining.

Can from Tavour. Pours translucent gold with a very large white head. LIght Brett aroma. Near med body. Dry and peppery/zesty/Bretty. The flavor is excellent.
Ooo beautiful carb and gorgeous soft Brett notes. Delish!
