Continuing our series dedicated to bad ass Nazi killing women. This farmhouse style saison brewed with pils and raw wheat and Bergamot hops then aged on fresh tangerine peel. Free rise fermentation provides lots of yeast character and a bone dry finish.
The aroma is complex with fresh orange and a Chablis-like yeast character. Ultra crisp and refreshing. A perfect saison taken up to eleven with the added citrus.
Available on tap and in bottles at the brewery now and at local bottle shops next week. Bottle conditioned 500 ml bottles $9

Bottle from the source. Shared at George's tasting in Chapel Hill.
Medium hazy, soapy, languishing brew.
Soapy, lemon, phenolic nose.
Super soapy, astringent greens, lingering citrus rind, herbaceous & mostly dry.
Kinda good.

Dark brown cola, lingering lace.
Gentle & sweet citrus & floral nose that isn't obviously tangerine.
Mild astringency, not obvious at first but becomes juicy with a little warmth. Bright citrus pith, approachable bitterness, a lot of blackened malt near the tail. Zesty tangerine on the finish that lingers.
Interesting but the OG is probably better.
