A full bodied porter with roast flavours of chocolate, coffee and liquorice. The initial bitterness gives way to a smooth, toasted coconut finish.

Hand pulled half pint at the York Tap on 20th May 2026. Dark bodied, beige roof. Malty with only a slight hint of coconut in the nose and taste. Expected more, but it was fine, went well with my Stilton and Pork Pie.

Victorian Craft Beer Cafe Back In Black Beer Festival 2025, Beer#1. Not quite black, but smooth, dark malty. Its coconut is light in both aroma and taste, but it's certainly still flavourful. The beer furthest right in my photo.

Cask at Cornerhouse, Chester. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small foamy cream head. There’s smoky bacon and malts in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet with flavours of dark fruits, coconut and roasted malts. A little underlying bitterness becomes evident later along with hints of vanilla. Finish is slightly dry. This is decent.
