In honor of three decades of Dogfish Head, we’re crafting a Triple Decadence World Wide Stout that celebrates our history with three notable aging woods.
This brew will blend together three threads of barrel-aged World Wide Stouts – World Wide Stout aged in Palo Santo as a celebration of our innovative approach to producing beers; World Wide Stout aged in Let’s Get Lost Whiskey barrels as a nod to our award-winning whiskey and years of distillation; and World Wide Stout aged in Utopias Barrels to salute our friends at Sam Adams and their incredibly intricate and unique Utopias.

Another example of why World Wide Stout is the standard bearer for insanely potent beers. Shows off plenty of Utopias barrel plum and port notes against a rich vein of bittersweet chocolate, coffee, molasses, caramel, and bourbon. Way too easy to drink for an unaged 15% beer. Amazing.

Tap at Whole Foods. Palo Santo comes through big. Bold, heavy, rich. Some unique barrel complexity. Woody birch notes, herbal liqueur. Heavy and sweet.

Pours black with a small dark tan head. It smells of chocolate, oak, whisky, roast malt, coffee, and booze. The intense flavor is sweet but doesn’t go overboard on that. The chocolatey malt is joined by balanced whisky flavor with coffee notes more in the background. Alcohol is apparent, but not as much as one might think for a 15% abv. Full bodied and delicious.

Black with a small beige head. Intensely boozy with strong wood and whiskey, malt and soy sauce. Can definitely taste the palo santo wood. Very long boozy finish . Full bodied and surprisingly smooth.

2025 30th Anni bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep chestnut brown to coffee black with a finger of beige head that dissipates. Warming alcohol on the nose with oak and bourbon with notes of dark chocolate, treacle, coffee and dark fruit. Great balance with nice notes of dark fruit, dark chocolate and coffee throughout. Barrels really do the heavy lifting with plum/prune Utopias notes alongside vanilla and oak. Very nice!
