“Yorkshire-based independent brewer Vocation Brewery, renowned for its bold and flavour-forward beers, is helping pubs to amplify their Oktoberfest celebrations (20 Sept – 5 Oct) with two new special-edition releases. Available on draught to on-trade outlets nationwide from 8th September, the Peach & Cardamom Weizen and Festzeit Märzen Lager both offer a modern flavour twist on classic German styles.
“Oktoberfest is a time to celebrate the incredible creativity of beer in all its variety, and we wanted to honour that by creating two classics rooted in German tradition, but with a Vocation take. Both styles showcase the vision and skills of our brewing team – offering something distinctive for drinkers to enjoy during this key occasion,” says Chris Mitchell, Marketing Manager at Vocation Brewery..

Draught keg at Tønne, Leicester. Cream/gold colour, hazy with an uneven off-white head. Light aroma of stone fruit, almost essence of peach. A bit weird but nice enough. Taste... whoah. Cardamom overwhelms everything else at first, but after you get used to it you can taste the beer beneath which is bittersweet with more stone fruit. A bit weird and unbalanced in the middle but rights itself for the finish more or less. Light body with soft to medium carbonation. Okay.

Hazy yellow creamy huge light yellow head.
aroma is citrussy, wheaty, herbal, yeasty, not unlike a belgian wheat ale, but not citrussy as the typical witbier also no banana as the typical german hefeweizen, more like belgian fruited wheat beer.
flavor is distinctively belgian yeasty with some fresh fruitiness going on, quite refreshing, comes off as dry, crisp and light, with yeasty and herbal bitterness. easy drikning flavorful slightly fruity wheat.

Miss Peach is an official Parker Bros. Cluedo character. Lightly hazed golden coloured. More weizen a beer than its stated flavourings, which are light, so it's a little more style over flavour, but very pleasant regardless.
