Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a small off white head. Can someone say resin? This beer is loaded with resinous pine flavor and aroma. Dank hops and a healthy dose of malt take the taste to the max. Bitter, slick, oily, and hot. Not on the top of my lists.

On tap at Bishops Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. A bit hazy light orange with a white head. Hoppy with grapefruit, some apricot, caramel and malt. The finish was bitter. A decent one.

Re-rate January 27th 2016. Orange color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, surprisingly sweet, some hops. Hmm, quite different from the first time. Better, but still not as good as I had hoped. -- Original rating: Bottle shared @ final old style THT. Clear yellow golden color, medium sized thick white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, loads of pine, spruce and resin. Too much even for me, harsh. Taste malts, again huge pine, spruce and resin, harsh resinous bitterness, some caramel maltyness as well. Over the top, too bad. [6-4-6-3-10]

Bottle at the End of an Era tasting at ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a slightly hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, woody hop, light fruit, alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a woody hop, resin, light citrus palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap at Sidedoor. With the big hop list I was expecting something more. Fairly classic, standard West Coast IPA. A lot of hop depth, from dry to piney to mellow faint tropical. Estery, yeasty, dry, sweet. OK.

Medium, dense, slightly yellowish head, with some lace over clear copperish-golden beer. Grapefruit, exotic fruit (mainly lychee), and quite some solvent. Quite bitter, resiny, less fruity on the tongue than in the nose. If hints of rosewater and lychee are there, all traces of sweetness have all but vanished, leaving a little bit of solvent; Thinnish MF, certainly for an ’Imperial’. Quite slick, hopoils obvious. Slightly burning feel, but not much carbonation. For being a true Westcoast, rather lame.

Keg at Babajan, Stockholm. Hazy amber, small head. Milky caramel aroma with some hay. Sweet with full body and clean mouthfeel. Generic, hard caramelly malt, some grapefruit. Resiny bitter finish. Lifeless.
